The Northland Watering Hole

Writers in Residence have taken up residency at yet another location! Further north, at the airport Marriott hotel bar and lounge on the second Sunday of every month from 5-7. The Midnight Garden crew can be found planted, growing inspiration and new ideas. Our plots are ever growing, so we are following suit!

We value all of our community members and understand that people are spread all throughout the KC metro area! While we have many events in interurban and southern spaces, and endeavor to join artists in their own communities and walk beside them on their writing journey. We want to be accessible to all! So we’ve extended our branches upwards, to the northern Kansas City KC Tap & Table and hope to see friendly faces showing up to create with us every month!

Like all our Writers in Residence events we open our arms wide and welcome all to come join us. Whether you’re a business minded individual seeking space and time to think creatively about your next move including the written word, or perhaps you just live nearby and want to come ask other authors about the sticking points of your projects we invite you to come join us in a space that’s fertile with opportunities.

This particular space offers a quiet and comfortable air about it. With it's full menu, comfortable seating, and large windows, it's the perfect space to clear your mind and think critically. While all of our events offer a special touch, with unique qualities that draw to our authors in one way or another, I found this space to be a perfect spot to allow an author to give back to themselves. With an opportunity to have a drink, some food, and peace while still being among other professionals that share the same passion.

Come on out and visit, let inspiration strike, have some food and ask some questions to your fellow authors. We’ll see you soon at our watering hole in the northlands, The Marriott hotel by the airport on the second Sunday of every month!
